Marina Beach is one of eight South African beaches to achieve Blue Flag status in 2001. Blue Flag status is only awarded to beaches that show exceptional cleanliness along with facilities of high quality and good lifeguard services.

Marina Beach is situated next door to the Mpenjati Nature Reserve, which surrounds the Mpenjati River Lagoon This wetland reserve can be observed from walkways and observation platforms.

This delightful little South Coast self catering cottage in Marina Beach is perfect for the small family vacation, and is only a 2 minute walk from the Blue Flag Marina Beach, with the Southbroom Beach and Southbroom lagoon immediately on the left of the property.

We spent a wonderful long weekend swimming, sunning and dining on the open patio with wonderful South Coast sea views, golfing at San Lameer, and hiking in the Oribi Gorge. There are also tons of South Coast accommodation, and great south coast restaurants in Shelly Beach - just 10 minutes away, with the Wild Coast and watersport adventures another 10 minutes along the south coast

This quint little south coast self catering accommodation gem is ideally situated and is definitely worth a return visit.
